I think Travis needs to work harder to make friends with the neighbor whose dog takes a crap on his front porch - friends are hard to come by, and he shouldn’t be so quick to dismiss him.
This is fascinating stuff! I just watched Paradise, so it's interesting to compare that to the Greenbrier Resort. And you're reading a book on Area 51? Seems like you're following a "Secret Government Projects" theme.
WOW! How bonkers that not only was the Greenbrier in the thick of history, but so much different kinds of history! Please report back on how insanely haunted it is, but how the ghosts are super bummed because everyone is on their phones, so no one even notices them opening drawers and moving stuff around.
I just got done reading The Shining and suffice to say, I’m a sucker for mysterious properties with a backstory. I mean, a guy named Jim “Justice” falls onto hard times financially after buying it? Any chance those buffalo put a curse on the Greenbriar? That is beyond cool you got to tour it. Thanks for writing about it and sharing it here.
Also, Rachel Sager writes a good bit about West Virginia, more rural Appalachia than cities but I could see her potentially knowing some deep cut stories about the Greenbriar. Check her stuff out if interested in more.

I actually read that book a few years ago. It’s got nothing on Area 52!!!
Good answer!

Haha!! Funny you should say that as our tour guide was OBSESSED with people and their cell phones. Let’s just say he is not a fan.
And it is totally haunted, no question. Big “here’s Johnny” vibes.
HA! He is clearly in the wrong century! I look forward to your Halloween edition update!
Interesting insights on friendship from a male perspective. I learned a thing or two.
Thanks for listening and reading Cindy!
Very interesting. Thanks for sharing the story, and especially the pics!
Thanks William!!!
What an awesome trip. Thx for sharing. I love American history. I've never been to W. Virginia-- now I'm inspired.
Definitely go! It was so cool. A little bit of a journey getting there but totally worth it.
I’ve always wondered where those secret underground evacuation bunkers were. You really have a nose for digging up cool information. Well presented!
Thanks Paul! Now I wanna know where the rest are 😄
Interesting history. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for reading Jenn!

Thanks for the recommendation! I had to fight the urge to write about The Shining in this piece as it was definitely giving off that vibe.
