You would have killed me. I did tackle Eric Torkelson (Green Bay as a pro) for a big loss in high school, giving us a win and a share of the championship. But that was a fluke.
My late, great dad used to occasionally come out with: "Never moon a werewolf."
Nah, kidding. He'd actually refer to "... the power of a positive NO." I'm glad you're cutting back, perhaps heading off a burnout/meltdown of the ages.
I'm looking forward to the book about The Tooz!! I saw him in person once, back in the mid-'80s, when he was – get this – one of the celebrity judges at a strip club dance-off. (Granted, I spent most of my time looking elsewhere...)
Catching up on all my readings. Was in a hole the last few weeks with, well, life. I might try your "rhythm" soon. Have been feeling way overwhelmed by things and my "bro" book is also very mad at me for being a bad "bro." Love this. And your creative soul my friend. xx
Pace yourself, man. My daughter and I haven't dropped a podcast in weeks, because she's got three kids under the age of five, and is training for a marathon - slacker! Me, I've got nothing but time on my hands.
My, my, my, how have you been doing all this and still managing to get the 8 hours of sleep every night that are generally recommended by professionals in the medical field?! (I seriously hope you've been getting 8 hours of sleep?!)...
Good call on this. Easy to shackle ourselves to arbitrary online timelines. Excited to hear about the coaching.
Thanks dude
Congrats! Can’t wait to read coaching high schoolers stories.
And the book clicked. Love when that happens.
How’s yours coming along?
Slowly because it’s epistolary. I’m still excited about the story which is a good sign.
Oh interesting. I was just reading about a book like that last week and how difficult it is to tell a story that way.
The Correspondent was very well done and is already being made into a movie.
That’s the one! You’re a genius Carissa
Gee. Thx. Hehe.
Whatever keeps the creative juices flowing. Good job being protective of your energy. I look forward to whatever you put out.
Appreciate it Paul 👊🏼
Slower still gets you there! 🌸
Absolutely Leonora, appreciate it!
Holy shit. Football. I barely escaped going to Ithaca on a partial scholarship. I would have been killed.

Dude! I played at Ithaca!

Haha, but a cool story to tell nonetheless!
His piston knees almost took my head off, but I held on.
Good luck Coach!

Hahaha! Yup, sounds right up the Tooz’s alley.
Love the werewolf line. Sounds like something a coach would say.
Play it the way that works best for you. Lucy looks like she was a sweetheart - they are here for so short a time but bring us so much love.
Miss that little peanut
That is a CRAZY cadence! Very cool that you were able to recognize an adjustment was needed.
Especially when you consider I’m getting paid for NONE of it 🤣🤣
Thanks though!
Please elaborate on the "pace yourself" method. Curious about the concept....
Excited for your excitement in your work, Jenny. It's such a thrill when something clicks!
Haha, yeah pace yourself, not something some of us excel at huh?
I love the Sally Field reference haha 🤣Love how you always wrap in the humor.
And you literally cannot do it all, and that’s good news! Looking forward to those coaching stories (and reading your future book). 🏈
Thanks Brandi!!!

Be a good bro and respect your book 😉😀.
Glad you’re digging your way out, and appreciate the comments!!
Sounds like giving your creativity room to breathe!!
That’s a great way to put it. I had been feeling less and less of that room recently.

The only thing that could ever cause me to train for a marathon is….having three kids under the age of five 🤣🤣🤣
Seriously though, holy cow.
My, my, my, how have you been doing all this and still managing to get the 8 hours of sleep every night that are generally recommended by professionals in the medical field?! (I seriously hope you've been getting 8 hours of sleep?!)...
Ha, you’re too kind. My day job is currently stay at home dad and my kid has her license now, so that helps 😉
I’m typically a 6-7 hour sleeper. How bout you?
If I don't set an alarm, 7 1/2 hours... I function best when I get at least 7 though.

i expect you to be installing mike martz's 2001 rams offense, starting on day 1
keep me posted
don't worry, it's only 414 pages long. the greg roman playbook from 2016 is 788 pgs
That guy was nuts 😀
I’ve got some long playbooks, but I don’t think any are near that length!
i’m holding you to higher standards my man
i’m gonna need you to call some exotic safety blitzes as well
I’m calling zero plays. Coming back as a peon in my second iteration 🤣
Also, look at you dropping playbook knowledge!
I contain multitudes
